Create Affiliates

Okay. First, what script are you using on your site?

Ah, ok. The script is what you are using on your website. In your case, it is Online Store Cart.

To setup affiliates, the first thing you need to do is go to the Configuration section and click on the Affiliate Program link. Fill in the areas there (email address, earning percentage, how to pay, etc). If you need help with any of these areas, let me know.

Then, you will need links on your website so that people know where to go signup, get their links, etc. I believe there is a whole menu for these links if you use $affiliatebox in your template.

From the Affiliates link in your admin, you can view affiliates and their referrals, upload banners for them to use, contact them, invoice them, etc. The only thing you cannot setup is automatic payments. You must manually pay them by whatever means you choose (store credit, paypal, etc).

You need to add $affiliatebox to your template. I'd recommend adding it under the $accountinformationbox if you use it.

From your admin, select the Designs menu and go to Template Manager. Chose the folder for the design on your site. For most people, this is Default. Then, select the template's html file. This is either 2column.html or 3column.html. Then, press the Edit button. You'll see the entire file's HTML. Look for $accountinformationbox and put $affiliatebox on the next line. Save the file and visit your store. Also, there may or may not be a link to the affiliate area already in your main navigation Information box. If there isn't, I can tell you how to add it.
