A Little About Me

Welcome to the forum. Let me be the first to introduce myself.

I am a mom to 2 wonderful boys - Benjamin (age 3) and Christopher (age 2).

When I was pregnant with Benjamin, I decided that I wanted to work from home so that I can spend more time with my son. I thought it would be fun to sell children's toys and I figured I could get some great toys for my son to play with at the same time.

While looking for a way to sell products online, I didn't find many options that gave me everything I needed in one place. Most of the shopping carts I came across cost more than I thought I should spend when first starting out. In my search for something more affordable, I came across osCommerce. The problem with using that cart is that it is not easy for someone with no website experience to install, setup, etc. Since I was pregnant with my first child, I had plenty of time to learn how to install and modify the script. I've since built my own version based off of the original osCommerce script to make a very user friendly shopping cart.

So, I decided to start my own web hosting business and offer shopping cart websites to other moms. I started off small offering my services just to other work at home moms. Since then, I've grown my business to provide hosting and other online services to everyone! I am always looking for ways to make things easier for people to build their online presence.

I really enjoy what I do and I love that I am able to do it from home so that I can spend more time with my boys.

I wish all of you the best of luck with your websites. I hope that you find whatever it is you do as rewarding as I do!

Hey Amy!!! Nice to see ya posting here!

Hello Everyone...*waves*
My name is Deanna Davoli & I am a fantasy artist. I was referred to WAHM hosting by my cousin Amy & I have been loving it ever since. I have gotten more steady sales since switching to WAHM & I also love that I am able to add pages, images, change the design, etc. of my site by myself. I always know if I stumble upon a problem, Renee is always there to help out. I couldn't be happier with how everything has turned out for me.

here is my website if you would like to check out my artwork & giftware: :)

Hi Deanna! Actually, this is Renee. Amy and I both have 2 boys that are the same ages with the same names. It's quite funny really because we were both pregnant with our Christophers when she first came over to WAHM Hosting. We have some other things in common as well, like our birthdays are about a week apart.

Thanks for the kind words . I absolutely love your artwork and I often give out your website address when people ask for examples of what can be done with the cart.

Thanks for sharing!

OMG!!!! that is so funny Renee. I had no idea that you both had boys with the same name & age! that is crazy! lol Sorry I mistakened you then.

Thanks for referring my site too, I appreciate it. I have done the same for you as well & I think there may be a couple of friends I have that will sign up with you in the near future. ;)

Thanks Deanna. Are you signed up as an affiliate yet? That way you get something out of the referrals :)

It's here. I need new banners since the ones there are from the old design, but you can become an affiliate by clicking the affiliate area link at the top right area of the website: https://wahmhosting.com/clients/affiliates.php

If you are already an affiliate, you will see banners. If not, you just have to click on a button to activate yourself as an affiliate. The info on that page is wrong right now though... you earn based on what you refer:
Starter signup earns you $2
Basic signup earns you $5
Intermediate earns you $7
Advanced earns you $12

Plus, I'm going to be adding tons more products and a reseller hosting plan as well, so those will earn you money as well. You can trade the money in for hosting, advertising, etc or you can get paid through PayPal.

thanks Renee! Ok, I just activated my affiliate account. so if I refer someone, how do I let you know?...just by telling you or should I do something with the affiliate account?

Actually, you don't need to do anything. When you use the special link from the affiliate area, the website keeps track of which orders come from you. Then, after a month has passed, it adds a credit to your affiliate area. When you are ready to use it, let me know. They never expire.

oh ok, so the person has to actually go through the WAHM hosting link on my website in order for the affiliate part to work?
what if they just contact you via email & sign up with you that way?
sorry i guess Im still confused how this working.

Yes, they will have to go through your affiliate link. Of course, if someone mentioned your name in an email, I could always go in manually and add you as the referral for the order. So, if you are telling people about WAHM Hosting when you talk to them, that is fine... just tell them to mention your name. But, sticking a banner or link in places around the internet may get you a few sign ups that you weren't expecting :)

gotcha!!! Thank you for clarifying that for me. I will be sure to let people know who I have told you about by mouth.

Welcome Kiera! Your kids are close in age to mine :)

Thank you for sharing what you do. It's been a while since I've heard of anyone studying midwifery... that's wonderful! I have no idea where you find the time to work 2 jobs and make diapers as well. I tried to make some myself and I wound up with a bunch of unfinished cutouts of pul. There are in my "rainy day" craft box now, lol.
