Domains

I am wondering if my site is going to crash when my domain expires.
Since I don't use the domain that is currently registered but, my hosting account is under the same name will everything "freak out" once it expires and/or go to the original subdomain for wahmhosting?

My other domain is still active though and the one I use.

In the past, the website would show an error if the main domain on the account expired.

There is an add-on https://wahmhosting.com/clients/cart.php?gid=addons (you must be logged in to see the options) for a domain change.

You'll see a message warning you against what we are doing here. What happens is that the add-on domain will have to be removed from the server entirely and then the main domain will be replaced with the new one.

Normally, it isn't a huge problem to simply delete the add-on and then add it back in because no website files are deleted in the process, however, in your case, the email may present a problem. I remember you mentioning once that you keep emails on the server. I'm not sure if the emails will be removed along with the associated domain during the process, so you'll have to make sure to go in and download all of the emails you want to keep before we make any major changes to the account.

Ok, I think I can figure that out LOL.

Yes, that was me. I did delete them from the server (I think, I logged into the Squirrel webmail and deleted them from there). Only thing is...they were deleted from my Outlook too! I was able to recover all of them except from yesterday up to 2 weeks ago. I tried looking around on Outlook to change it to delete from server upon download but, couldn't find that option...except for on my Palm Pro. Haha. I just created a new folder called SAVED and put them all in there but, I still think my disk space is overloaded because when I logged into Squirrel again it showed a SAVED folder there (not sure if was there before or not).

So, I dunno. :( Really at this point, it doesn't matter. He's been home since May...no need to keep the emails anymore. Hehe. Just the business related ones (like payments or receipts, etc.) are ones I need to keep.

Ok, after reading the add-on info, it says, "Please confirm the new primary domain name does not exist on the server as its own account, sub-domain, add-on domain or parked domain." So, I'm a little confused as to how this will effect me since the add-on domain and sub-domains are on the server, right?

Yes, that is the warning message. Don't worry about it - I do the change manually.

As for the disk space, it is currently set at 152.94 / 200 MB, so unless you recently deleted some things, it shouldn't have been an issue. If you set the Palm Pro to delete the email from the server, then it may not have made it to your outlook. Could that be what happened there?

Oh ok, LOL.

Yes, I just deleted. It was at like 199 or something haha.

No, I changed it today on my Palm and didn't download them to it today. If I did download them to my Palm first, I'd keep them there so I could retrieve them on Outlook before deleting. I have it set to only download today's messages too.

If you just deleted files or email to make room, then it could have been the lack of space that messed with the missing emails.
