Auto post to Facebook

I've been using Networking Blogs to have my posts automatically sent to my Facebook page. It doesn't always work. I've searched their site and haven't seen any real fixes for this. Do you know of a way to get this to work every time I post something new?

I've heard that this happens with Networked Blogs occasionally. I believe the only solution they really offer is to double check that they syndication is setup correctly. Unfortunately, this isn't something that we can fix since it is on their end.

Having said that, how attached are you to Networked Blogs? Would you be willing to use a different service?

I figured it would be on their end, but I had to check to make sure that it wasn't something I was doing wrong.

I would be willing to use a different service since this one isn't all that great. But, it is very popular. It is the reason I went with it in the first place. If I stop using it, I won't benefit from it at all.

What do you think?

I like Facebook Page Publish for publishing to Facebook. It may not be as easy to setup as Networked Blogs was, but it is completely worth the extra 5 minutes.

One of the main reasons why I like this plugin better is because of the link juice. You'll notice that with Networked Blogs, when it links back to your blog on Facebook, the link is actually theirs. Since you want as many backlinks to your own site (especially from big sites like Facebook), this doesn't help you at all. Why give your link juice to someone else?

When you install the Facebook Page Publish plugin, make sure to turn off the option for Networked Blogs that allows it to post to your Facebook page automatically. Leave everything else the same though if you still want to take advantage of their service. That way, you can still use them and get listed in their directory. It just won't post their stuff to your page.

Thank you!!! I'm going to install that plugin right away. I did notice that the links on my facebook page weren't my own, but I didn't even think that I was losing out with the search engines there. I guess I should start thinking like that, huh?

Networked Blogs really isn't all that important to me because I haven't ever noticed a single thing coming out of it, so not using it won't hurt. But, I will leave my blog listed with it anyway just in case that ever decides to change.

Thanks for the help, you're the best!
